Our Process

Almost any substantial effort can benefit from a JAD kickoff.  However, it can be critical to the success of any project that is particularly large, particularly complex, or that has substantial political overtones.  To ensure success,  a JAD session must be well-planned, correctly staffed, carefully run, and properly documented, and the progress of the resulting project(s) must be monitored to conclusion.

Planning
For a successful JAD effort, our team will work with business and IT to make sure that they have the explicit support of senior management and that they understand the situation well enough to frame the discussion, establish an agenda,  and determine the appropriate length of the session.
Staffing
Without the right participants, the results of the JAD will be incomplete.  Our team will work with business and IT to ensure the participation of the right people at the right level with the right mix of expertise and authority.
Managing
In the JAD session itself, the team can get sidetracked, get bogged down in details, or descend into conflict and other nonproductive behaviors.  Our leaders are extremely skilled in keeping the discussion on track, engaging all participants, and targeting a consensus solution.
Documenting
No job is finished until the paperwork is complete!  Our team is expert in capturing the nuances of the discussion and recording the conclusions and next steps in an engaging yet complete JAD Summary Document.
Monitoring
Once the JAD is over and the Summary Document is accepted, the real work begins.  Our team can work with the project team members to follow up on open issues, communicate progress to all JAD participants, and generally achieve closure on the JAD-generated requirements and plan.
